Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung ist Zinal (1675m) Wenn man sich die ersten 763 Höhenmeter ersparen möchte kann man die Seilbahn bis Sorebois (2438m) nehmen. Von dort geht es im offenen Gelände stetig Bergauf bis zum Corne de Sorebois (2835m) Von dort oben hat man eine wunderschöne Rundsicht auf all die 4000er (Bishorn 4153m, Grand Gendarme 4331m, Weisshorn 4506m, Schalihorn 3974m, Zinalrothorn 4221m, Obergabelhorn 4063m, Dent Blanche 4357m) und auch auf das Tagesziel die Barrage de Moiry. Der Abstieg ist nicht zu steil und bietet einen sehr schönen Blick in die Hochalpine Bergwelt. Auf der Barrage de Moiry (2250m) endet die Wanderung. Von dort aus kann man mit dem Bus auf Grimentz oder wieder zurück nach Zinal. Zeitbedarf ca. 4h15 von Zinal und ca. 2h30 und vom Restaurant Sorebois aus.
